Guyanese in Toronto are in for the treat of their lives when LINK SHOW 2002 comes on tour October 12 and 13. Once again the shows will be staged at the Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute, 2450 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, through the auspices of the Luther Hansraj Dramatic Theatre.
Ron Robinson leads a veteran cast of Guyana's finest in the biggest Link yet and he promises that patrons will not forget this one for years to come.
Robinson explains that there has been so much happening in Guyana recently that the scripts have had to be updated constantly to touch on current events. "It is truly amazing," Robinson says, "that so many unbelievable things happen only in Guyana, providing perfect opportunities for satirical review." This LINK SHOW is the 21st staged by The Theatre Company and is definitely the very best yet. Robinson added, "It had to be special because it marked a special milestone in the history of theatre in Guyana and more especially for The Theatre Company."
Many patrons in Guyana attended the show on more than one occasion in order to have really great evenings of "laughs and more laughs." The cast is the largest yet to tour with the Company and includes Guyana's finest - Ron Robinson, Desiree Edghill, Nasimul Hussain, Howard Lori mer, John Phillips, Rajan Tiwari, Henry Rodney, Cicely Forbes, Sherry Ann Dyal, Yvonne Welch, Sheldon Brathwaite, Sonia Garde and Marlon Braam.
Guyanese and friends should not miss this year's LINK SHOW, the biggest and grandest yet. It includes drama, songs and dance, with Guyanese, by Guyanese and for Guyanese to share with the world.
